Birth pangs, growth spurts, hunger strikes, bills; bursts of bullet points as balanced statements; beautiful pilots zooming in for distant kills.

Then weather forecasting the motherlode:
flare-ups, cascades, dry spells, big blows, and fiery comets falling in bucketloads.
